A fabulous site & resource that we are so excited about around here is the newly launched type 'encyclopedia', Typedia.
'In a nutshell, Typedia is a community website to classify typefaces and educate people about them. Think of it like a mix between IMDb and Wikipedia, but just for type. Anyone can join, add, and edit pages for typefaces or for the people behind the type. Every time you attribute a designer or foundry to a typeface, a separate page is made for them as well. Typedia hopes to not only inspire people to learn more about the art of type design, but also to discover the underpinnings of it as well, like the type designers and the rich history itself.'
It will take users and time to build up the resources and information, but with new members adding contributions, information and opinions everyday - it's bound to be a surefire hit. Congrats to the fellow typophiles behind Typedia - nice work!
